Theme: Christmas Joy Around the World

Historic Downtown Calexico

Join us for one of Calexico’s most cherished holiday traditions! The 59th Annual Christmas Parade will bring together floats, marching bands, dancers, equestrians, performers, and more - all spreading joy and holiday spirit through the heart of our community.

At the end of the parade, don’t miss the Christmas Festival & Awards Ceremony at Rockwood Plaza Park, featuring music, celebration, and recognition of the best entries.

Competitions & Categories. This year’s competitions will include:

  • Floats 
  • Marching Bands
  • Bandas de Guerra
  • Drumline
  • Drill Teams

  • Awards will be presented at Rockwood Plaza Park immediately following the parade.

     

Registration Fees

  • Schools, Honorably Discharged Veterans (must provide DD214 form), & Event Level Sponsors:   Free
  • Regular Entries:
    • Early Bird (until October 31, 2025):   $15
    • Regular Fee (after October 31, 2025):   $30
  • Elected Officials / Public Office / Running for Public Office: 
    • Early Bird (until October 31, 2025):   $70
    • Regular Fee (after October 31, 2025):   $125

 

How to Register

  1. Complete the Parade Entry Form.
  2. Submit your form along with all required participant liability waivers.
    • If your entry has no fee: Email your completed form & waivers to recreation@calexico.ca.gov (Subject line: PARADE + Entry Name).
    • If your entry has a fee:
      • Option 1: Email your form & waivers, then call us to make your payment by debit/credit card.
      • Option 2: Bring your form and payment to:
        Calexico Recreation Department
        707 Dool Avenue, Calexico, CA 92231
  3. Call the Calexico Recreation Department at (760) 768-2176 if you need more information.

Deadline to submit application and waivers: Monday, November 24, 2025 by 5:00 p.m.

 

Parade Guidelines

  • Formation begins at 7:30 a.m. at Second Street and Blair Avenue.
  • This is a forward motion parade—entries may not stop to perform along the route.
  • No throwing items or handing out along the route.
  • No live Santa Claus entries allowed (the City provides Santa).
  • Floats may not exceed: 7 ft wide x 25–30 ft long x 20 ft tall.
  • All descriptions, music, and visuals must be family friendly.
  • The City reserves the right to remove non-compliant entries.
